Abstract

This paper aims at discussing some aspects of the notion of “drama” as elaborated by Fernando Pessoa in the organization and constitution of his work. The discussion of his theoretical prose (letters and essays) about the subject enables us to determine how the writer conceived his work from the very purpose of overcoming the boundary between lyric and dramatic genres as well as from a desire for a monumental incompleteness. Thus, discussing the particularities of the poetry of theater and the theater of poetry, this article attempts to establish the configuration of a theater of writing in the poetic of Pessoa.
