Abstract

In this research we analyze the novel Todos los nombres from José Saramago (2015), and for doing so we propose a double interpretative hypothesis. On the one side, the structure of the novel would be founded in a specular construction based in the myth of Minotaur, which acts as an hypertext, understood as one capable of generating other texts. On the other side, we suggest that the mythical metaphor presents the quest for personal identity. Also, for our analysis we propose a theory of space as a labyrinth, understood as a metaphor of the world, and the identity, regarded as an articulation of dates, numbers, and names.
