The magisterium of Carlos Fuentes in the face of criticism

Resumen

Carlos Fuentes will be remembered as one of the greatest writers in Spanish language literature; the main purpose of this paper is to examine the simbiosis of the History with his life and his works, from the sixties until death, in order to make a balance on how Fuentes, as intellectual and public figure, has influence on the diffusion of the culture at this moment, by creating a map of Latin American literature from his magisterium. And we will also examine his stance towards the position adopted by criticism, that more often faced and even ignored his own proposals.
