Censure and the cultural modernization under the dictatorship

Abstract

This essay analizes, at one hand, the meanings of the use of the censorship during the military dictatorship - specially between 1968 and 1975. In a (presumably) pioneer approach, it intends to establish relationships between the use of the censorship, the modernization of culture and the inclination to the globalization (or "americanization"?) of the cultural life. At the other hand, it intends to clear the issue of how the novel reacted to the censorship.
