RESUMEN: El arculo discute los signicados atribuidos al trabajo
docente, destacando percepciones ambivalentes, como la realización y la
devaluación profesional, en un contexto histórico-cultural. Al invesgar los
signicados del trabajo docente en la literatura, se exploraron los factores
posivos y negavos que permean la enseñanza codiana. Se trata de una
revisión cualitava basada en el estado del conocimiento, con análisis de
arculos, tesis, disertaciones y libros, con un marco temporal de los úlmos
diez años. Se idencó una ambivalencia: signicados posivos (logro,
reconocimiento, impacto social) y signicados negavos (sobrecarga,
precariedad, devaluación). El trabajo docente está inuenciado por las
polícas neoliberales, pero también reinterpretado por los docentes a
través de la autonomía y la afecvidad. Se concluye que la valorización de
la profesión requiere mejores condiciones de trabajo y polícas públicas
alineadas a las necesidades de la enseñanza

ABSTRACT: This arcle discusses the meanings aributed to teaching
work, highlighng ambivalent percepons, such as professional fulllment
and devaluaon, in a historical-cultural context. When invesgang the
meanings of teaching work in the literature, posive and negave factors
that permeate the daily teaching roune were explored. This is a qualita-
ve review based on the state of knowledge, with an analysis of arcles,
theses, dissertaons, and books, and a me frame of the last ten years.
An ambivalence was idened: posive meanings (fulllment, recognion,
social impact) and negave meanings (overload, precariousness, devalua-
on). Teaching work is inuenced by neoliberal policies, but it is also rein-
terpreted by teachers through autonomy and aecon. It is concluded that
the valorizaon of the profession requires beer working condions and
public policies aligned with the needs of teachers.

RESUMO: O argo discute os sendos atribuídos ao trabalho docente,
destacando percepções ambivalentes, como realização prossional e des-
valorização, em um contexto histórico-cultural. Ao invesgar os sendos
do trabalho docente na literatura, foram explorados fatores posivos e ne-
gavos que permeiam o codiano docente. Trata-se de uma revisão quali-
tava baseada no estado do conhecimento, com análise de argos, teses,
dissertações e livros, com recorte temporal dos úlmos dez anos. Iden-
cou-se uma ambivalência: sendos posivos (realização, reconhecimento,
impacto social) e negavos (sobrecarga, precarização, desvalorização).
O trabalho docente é inuenciado por polícas neoliberais, mas também
ressignicado pelos professores por meio da autonomia e da afevidade.
Conclui-se que a valorização da prossão requer melhores condições de
trabalho e polícas públicas alinhadas às necessidades dos docentes.
