RESUMEN: El arculo analiza la aplicación del enfoque STEM en la
educación superior, especialmente en asignaturas relacionadas con las
matemácas. Destaca benecios como el aumento de la movación
estudianl, la mejora del rendimiento académico y una actud más
posiva hacia el aprendizaje. Basado en una revisión de la literatura
cienca reciente de plataformas como Scopus y Google Scholar, el estudio
también idenca desaos en su implementación prácca. Se concluye
que la educación STEM es esencial para preparar profesionales capaces de
enfrentar desaos actuales y futuros, promoviendo soluciones innovadoras
y contribuyendo al desarrollo cultural, social y económico.

ABSTRACT: The arcle analyzes the applicaon of the STEM approach in
higher educaon, parcularly in mathemacs-related subjects. It highli-
ghts benets such as increased student movaon, improved academic
performance, and more posive atudes toward learning. Based on a re-
view of recent scienc literature from plaorms like Scopus and Google
Scholar, the study also idenes praccal implementaon challenges. It
concludes that STEM educaon is essenal for preparing professionals to
face current and future challenges, fostering innovave soluons and con-
tribung to cultural, social, and economic development.

RESUMO: O argo analisa a aplicação da abordagem STEM no ensino
superior, especialmente em disciplinas matemácas. Destaca os benecios
da metodologia, como aumento da movação estudanl, melhoria no
desempenho acadêmico e atudes mais posivas diante das disciplinas.
Ulizando revisão da literatura cienca em bases como Scopus e
Google Scholar, o estudo idenca também limitações na implementação
práca da abordagem, apesar de seu potencial pedagógico. Conclui que
a educação STEM é essencial para formar prossionais preparados para
desaos atuais e futuros, promovendo soluções inovadoras e contribuindo
para o desenvolvimento cultural, social e econômico.
