RESUMEN: Este arculo presenta un estudio sobre la integración de las
Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TICs) en la formación
inicial de profesores en Brasil. El objevo fue analizar, desde la percepción
de los estudiantes, si las TIC están integradas al currículo, a la infraestruc-
tura sica y digital de las instuciones y si los cursos consideran el marco
europeo de competencias digitales para educadores (DigCompEdu). La
metodología consisó en la aplicación de un cuesonario en línea a 182 es-
tudiantes de los úlmos años de los programas de maestría en enseñanza.
Los datos fueron analizados mediante un enfoque cuantavo con un di-
seño transversal descripvo. Los resultados indican que los futuros docen-
tes evalúan posivamente los conocimientos adquiridos en TIC y muestran
conanza en su aplicación en la futura prácca profesional. En relación con
el DigCompEdu, los parcipantes reconocen su presencia en los currículos
de los cursos que cursan. Se concluye que, a pesar de algunas debilidades,
la formación inicial docente contribuye al desarrollo de las competencias
digitales propuestas por el DigCompEdu.

ABSTRACT: This arcle presents a study on the integraon of Informaon
and Communicaon Technologies (ICT) in inial teacher educaon in Por-
tugal. The aim was to examine, from the perspecve of student teachers,
whether ICT is embedded in the curriculum, in the instuon’s physical and
digital infrastructure, and whether consideraon is given to the European
Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu). The
methodology involved administering an online quesonnaire to 182 stu-
dents in the nal years of their masters programmes in teaching. Data
were analysed using a quantave, cross-seconal descripve approach.
The results indicate that prospecve teachers posively evaluate the ICT-
-related knowledge acquired and feel condent in applying it in their future
teaching pracce. With regard to DigCompEdu, parcipants perceive its
presence in the curricula of their courses. It is concluded that, despite some
weaknesses, inial teacher educaon in Portugal has been preparing futu-
re educators to engage in ICT-supported teaching and learning processes,
in line with the DigCompEdu framework.

RESUMO: Este argo apresenta um estudo sobre a integração das Tecno-
logias da Informação e Comunicação (TICS) na formação inicial de profes-
sores no Brasil. O objevo foi analisar, a parr da percepção dos estudan-
tes, se as TIC estão integradas ao currículo, à infraestrutura sica e digital
das instuições e se os cursos consideram o referencial europeu de com-
petências digitais para educadores (DigCompEdu). A metodologia consis-
u na aplicação de um quesonário on-line a 182 estudantes dos úlmos
anos de cursos de mestrado em ensino. Os dados foram analisados por
meio de uma abordagem quantava com delineamento descrivo trans-
versal. Os resultados indicam que os futuros professores avaliam posiva-
mente os conhecimentos adquiridos em TIC e demonstram conança em
sua aplicação na futura práca prossional. Em relação ao DigCompEdu,
os parcipantes reconhecem sua presença nos currículos dos cursos que
frequentam. Conclui-se que, apesar de algumas fragilidades, a formação
inicial docente contribui para o desenvolvimento das competências digitais
propostas pelo DigCompEdu.

Digital competence involves the condent, crical and responsible use of, and engage-
ment with, digital technologies for learning, at work, and for parcipaon in society.
It includes informaon and data literacy, communicaon and collaboraon, media li-
teracy, digital content creaon (including programming), safety (including digital well-
-being and competences related to cybersecurity), intellectual property related ques-
ons, problem solving and crical thinking
         





