Abstract

Pregnancy, especially during adolescence, is the defining moment for the woman and inevitably a period of transformation in physical, psychological and socio-familial. The widespread abandonment of activities and future liabilities, by pregnant women, generate adverse consequences, and must learn to live with these emotions of pregnancy. Given the fact, it is essential to contribute to the alleviation of suffering and anxieties experienced by pregnant women, to build a positive experience through pregnancy. The work aims to promote physical and mental health, self-esteem and self-worth, providing learning to deal with the hardships of pregnancy, improving interpersonal relationships, encouraging pregnant women to become responsible for their own actions, seeking to stimuli and develop values and social practices that results in life care. Through lectures, community therapy and techniques of Caring for the Caregiver, with pregnant teenagers, their partners and families who represent an important support .Encouraged to participate actively expressing their fears, anxieties and doubts, given the situation. The activities develop spontaneously and cooperatively, supporting friendship and trust between group members, building and developing a personal resilience. However, one can consider that there was cooperation for the development of proposed activities in a positive way, supporting friendship and trust among the group, resulting in strengthening / personal empowerment, development of resilience, improved self-esteem enhancement personal and interpersonal. Confirmed by personal interviews, family and new positions on the situation of pregnancy. Confirmation that the promotion of mental health, especially for pregnant women is an issue that deserves attention, considering that through spaces and approaches beneficial to health promotion through the host of verbal expression, listening and sharing of life experiences, provided the encouragement, relief from emotional distress caused by stressful events. Thus reducing the disorders that compromise the mother-child relationship, therefore, compromise the child’s psychological development.
