Resumo

Ítalo Calvino com a trilogia “I nostri antenati” (Os nossos antepassados) afasta-se definitivamente do neo-realismo italiano. Pode-se ver, porem, nestes verdadeiros contos de fada, uma nítida intenção moral do autor, dando com isso uma resposta às polemicas literárias surgidas após a segunda guerra mundial na Itália. No segundo romance desta trilogia, “O Barão rampante”, através da fábula são discutidos problemas como o engajamento do intelectual e o seu papel na sociedade, o relacionamento do homem com a natureza e outros temas, sem que para isso o tom de fantasia seja posto de lado. We can see, however, in this fables, a moral intention which serves to anser the several literaries controversies of the second war in Italy. In the second novel of this trilogy, “O Barao rompante”, though a fable there are problems how the participation of the intellectual in the society, the relation of the man and the nature and other subjects, but the fable continues.
