Abstract

This text departs from a translation discrepancy between the two brasilian versions of Walter Benjamin’s “Die Aufgabe des Übersetzers” and explores Derrida’s translation/reading of this essay in “Des tours de Babel”, and leads into a refl ection and a questioning of the supposed status of deconstruction itself. Keywords: Translation. Complement/Supplement. Desconstruction. “Consciência Traduzante”.
