O figurino do capital social e do controle social: experiências públicas sobre infância no Brasil

Abstract

This essay turns toward two fragile theoretical categories and a dramatic empirical reference. In the first ones, the social capital and the social control, the empirical reference is identified through public experiences of focusing childhood in Brazil. Even dealing with themes of great social dimension, we find that, nowadays they can also be conducted with a good portion of humor regarding the academic debate, so that arguments here exposed are not taken as aggression or offense to their authors and to the community they belong to. We will separate the discussion in two parts. In the first one we approach the concepts to be used in their theoretical foundation – the social capital and the social control. In the second part we will deal with both categories to the communitarian experience of infancy and adolescence protection, placed in the urban context. Keywords: Communitarian experiences.
