Abstract

In this article we will study one of the most important characteristics of the literary avant-garde in the writings of the Chilean narrator Juan Emar, which refers to the immense variety of materials and hybridity included in each of his texts, a diversity that incorporates a host of resources and modifications in relation to traditional literature, which was imposed in the cultural field at the beginning of this artistic trend, that is, during the first years of the 20th century.
