Abstract

In the present article a comparative analysis of two novels in Spanish language will be developed and whose histories present as part of their plot the displacement and subsequent migration of the protagonists. Supporting the analysis in theories that support the concepts of identity (s) (Hall) and cultural identity (Bhabha), in conjunction with the study of images that are part of an imaginary of migration (Castoriadis), a comparative analysis based on the journeys narrated in these works is presented, which allows us to establish an imaginary impregnated by the characteristics of a process full of emotionality, which directly influences the perception that both Jean from Ciudad Berraca and Obama of El Metro are having throughout the narrations of those trips, as well as it tensions and affects their identities as social subjects that are in the process of transition and constant adaptation.
