Abstract

Research related to homoeroticism is still scarce in the academic environment and for this same reason; a great deal of subjectivity around the word is generated. This work aims to contribute to such discussions. We will use as an object of study the poem Ode Marítima by Álvaro de Campos, heteronym of the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, that had 127 of them, but Álvaro is one of the three most complete. We live in a time when gender issues have been widely debated and the word homosexuality, to refer to works of a nature related to sexual orientation and / or gender identity, has been used inappropriately. In this study, we sought a way of reframing the theme from the analysis of the aforementioned work, making it possible to highlight our view of the problem of homoeroticism that does not fall into the error of stereotyped erotic sexual labeling.
