This article aims to discover which science-fiction books written in France were translated in Brazil throughout the 20th century and, from that, to present a historical overview of French literary production. The research consists of a bibliographic survey, as broad as possible, carried out on several websites (especially Skoob, Estante Virtual and Noosfere). It has been noticed that there were two moments in the translation of such works in Brazil: one in the 30s and another, much more lasting and productive, between the 60s and 80s with several important gaps left. Translations can also be divided into those that were part of larger series and those that were published on their own. This article demonstrates that French science fiction is an open field of study in Brazil.
