Abstract

The present paper seeks to produce an interpretive analysis of the book The Stranger (1942), by Albert Camus, connecting the structural aspects of the novel to elements presented in his philosophical essay The Myth of Sisyphus (1942). In this perspective, we intend to present some characteristics of the philosophy of absurdity in a manner that provides a solid ground for the analysis intended. Thus, it is possible to highlight certain elements of the representation of the absurd sensibility in the Algerian writer’s debut novel.
