The religious expression in Julien Green

Abstract

This paper discusses the religious expression in the fi ction of the French writer Julien Green, whose literary production started in the 1920s. The main topics debated in this article are: the recurrent themes in Green’s narrative based on the novel Le voyageur sur la terre, the spirituality found in his texts, especially concerned with his religion, the Roman Catholicism, and the infl uence of religion in Green’s text.
