Abstract

This paper analyses the ethical aspect of the Rousseau’s ideas and his engagement to the historical development having as basis some concepts from the Discours sur les sciences et les arts, from the Discours sur l’origine et les fondements de l’inégalité, and from the Contrat social. It will be analyzed the original character of Rousseau’s thought, his independence from rules and dogmas and his particular style, which adopts the construction of hypothesis as theoretical – and ethical, above all – since they meet the needs of man in the modern society.
