Abstract

We aim to discuss in this article the conception of a universal order in Profissão de fé do Vigário saboiano and how such arrangement announces the moral basis in Rousseau’s metaphysics. Without ignoring the difficulties inherent in theological questions, the Savoyard Vicar, apprehends through conscience and reason, the good and just order, established by a transcendent God and thus, he can define for himself the moral order he believes to be true.
