Writing of the/ in the blog: the emergence of the author-effect

Abstract

The aim of this article is to reflect on the authorship of the/in the blog considering the position author/reader subject, which, in my point of view, demystifies the impression of unit that the author seems to convey, allowing the emergence of an author-effect that in the discursive discontinuity produces a new effect of meaning. This status of “new” from the French theoretical perspective of the discursive studies refers to the other effects of meaning of the sayings (saramaguianos) which emerge in the current conditions of production – the so called new technologies of information and communication. Based on this Pecheutian formulation, which asserts that the discourses always return in a different way, I try to draw this reflection on authorship especially focusing on the blog Outros Cadernos de Saramago.
