Gender Equality: the labor dimension, some data and reflections about Latin America

Abstract

Thinking about equality between men and women leads us to analyze the workplace where women occupy important participation rates. This apparently quantitative gain involves circumstances of segregation, discrimination and violence at work. Data provided by the ILO on employment in Latin America are reviewed and variables and characteristics that constitute the source of gender inequality are highlighted.
