The internacional political system and the interceding regional powers: the cases of Brazil and Mexico

Abstract

This article analyzes the International Political System after the cold war as well the corresponding Interamerican System, as important contexts for an investigation about the interceding regional powers, in general, and, in special, the cases of Brazil and Mexico. The direct consequences are the intention of fixing the structural frames of the state, in a general sense, in the International Political System, as well, the particular Interamerican System that makes possible the identification of the interceding regional powers in the world and in America. By this proceeding, Brazil and Mexico are both identified as states that gather important capabilities and roles of interceding among the global players and the peripheral states.
