Abstract
This paper deals with the recent use of parameters and concepts based on the main characteristics of brazilian agriculture in the beginning of the 60's. These characteristics are completely different from the ones in use today. We discuss not only the concept of módulo rural which is in the statute of land, but we also bring empirical evidences of a case study. These evidences indicate the anachronism of the parameters in use.
