Science and method in sociology handbooks

Abstract

The way the handbooks deal with method does not bring into consideration the ontologic, epistemologic and gnoseologic characteristics. In fact, it means the annihilation of sociology as a whole science and it is clearly evident on the reduction of science to method. This emptiness implies the superevaluation of method and the consequent devaluation of sociology as a scientific investment.
