Municipal elections: parties federation or national parties

Abstract

The 2008 municipal election indicates the existence of political parties nationwide structured. This can be noticed in spite of the variation at the voting given among different municipal districts and even among regions. It can also be notice regardless specific variables, such as demographic and socioeconomic features, the presence of “mandonismos” or public police that affect a particular region. These parties may convert these victories into political negotiation for the 2010 presidential election. 
