Current systemic trends and antisystemic movements

Abstract

The article tries to think about the neoliberalism and the American hegemony as elements of a systemic trend that, after the attacks of 11º September intends redefined the international order starting from the perspective of a total war against terrorism. For the author, such strategic definition is causing strong impact in all social movements that try to question the contem-porary economic order, since the logic adopted by the USA comes considering them, indiscriminately, as allies of the terrorism. The article also shows the changes that antisystemic movements are passing through in the new century.
