Occupation and employment of professionals in Mexico: approaches and features

Abstract

This article shows the location and characteristics of productive activities that undertaken by professionals in Mexico. The analysis is based in data generated by the INEGI, in the Census and Census of Population and Housing and the National Survey of Occupation and employment. Also, argues the relevance of some theoretical and methodological proposals for the analysis of employment and occupation of professionals. The results indicate a recomposition of the most qualified stratum of the labor force of Mexico.
