Mediations of the memory in history: the case of the São Paulo cities

Abstract

The article intends to approach central problem of the studies of referring historiografia to the establishment of avaliativos parameters of the intellectual production. It defines as in case that quarrel concrete the production of writings in the area of history on the city of Campinas, situated in the interior of the State of São Paulo. Search to explicitar the joints between the historical trajectory of the city, that since century XIX blunted as one of the dynamic polar regions of the São Paulo economy, and the production of all a set of studies and workmanships come back toward the attempt to institute its collective memory. The writings of two generations of self-taughts person are distinguished here, journalists, who until the years of 1970 constituiram themselves in the authorized voice on the past of the city.
