Abstract

The text weaves considerations about some of the sociocultural processes of mediation that focus on the appropriation of information by users. One issue that deserves special consideration is how the cultural action and cultural policies associated with new technologies have enabled the emergence of new environments for information /communication and resized the relationship between individuals and the production, practice and actual construction of identity and cultural memory. Changes in the processes of cultural production and circulation of cultural information and the manner in which individuals take ownership of them in the contemporary scenario of information and communication technologies (ICTs) will be adressed. In this context, are also discussed issues related to digital inclusion and socio-technical network.
