The objective of this study is to discuss the relationship between digital technologies and English teaching post-pandemic in 2020-2021. To this end, considering the Bakhtin Circle's concept of language, I analyze the dialogic relations in an abstract of a communication about the use of technologies in teaching English. The abstract was published in the book of abstracts of the V International Seminar of the Brazilian Association of English Language Teachers of the Federal Network of Basic, Technical and Technological Education (SIABRALITEC), held in 2024, reflecting and refracting a social reality in the context of post-pandemic of Covid-19. Corpus analysis reveals a tension between discourses that can antagonize each other: on the one hand, a more centered appreciation of digital technology, considered essential to guarantee the teaching of English in contemporary times; on the other hand, an appreciation more focused on teaching practice, assessed as essential to guarantee the choice of important materials, not necessarily digital technologies, for teaching the language. It is concluded that the dispute over meanings about the relationship between digital technologies and English teaching seen in the ideological debate in post-pandemic of Covid-19 does not differ significantly from previous discussions.
