This article has the aim of reflecting about some definitions that the terms text and speech receive in different research lines. The concepts work isolated or in group; in opposition or in complementarity; hierarquically or in a coordinate way. The analysis of this chart, more than identifying (the distinctions between the two terms – as they modify from a theoretical field to another – we tried to find the widest theoretical orientations that, in language studies, promote the distinctions and the use of both terms. Keywords: texto; discourse.Downloads
