THE POETIC EVENT IN “O APANHADOR DE DESPERDÍCIOS”, BY MANOEL DE BARROS

Abstract

This article analyzes the poem “O Apanhador de Desperdícios”, by Manoel de Barros, from the theoretical framework of French semiotics, with the aim of revealing the enunciation strategies used in the construction of the text. We have used elements from the generative path of meaning, especially the syntax and semantics discursives, observing the relationship between the subject of enunciation and the objects “word” and “world” as well as the text which has a metapoetical character. Walking down the path, we aim to apprehend how the enunciator leads the enunciatee to suffer the impact of the poem as an aesthetics event in the act of reading.
