This article presents a critical analysis of fashion as a cultural, symbolic, and behavioral language, understood as a social practice and a meaning-producing device. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach grounded in semiotics, consumer psychology, and cultural studies, it investigates how transgressive aesthetics — with particular emphasis on the work of the brand Balenciaga — contribute to the reconfiguration of symbolic and identity values in contemporary society. It is argued that fashion, beyond its aesthetic dimension, operates as an instrument for the construction of subjectivities, the contestation of norms, and political expressiveness, playing a strategic role in shaping social discourses and belonging dynamics.
