This article outlines the framework for a new cognitive semiotics: a comprehensive proposal for a material turn in semiotics studies that take up Umberto Eco's legacy. After defining the field of study of this way of practicing semiotics, we identify its three main distinctive features: radical enactivism, pragmatism, and the theory of material engagement. Revisiting the process of sense-making as an opportunity to rethink enunciation, the work develops a theoretical framework for analyzing the surrounding world as a world of meaning articulated in encyclopedic fragments, fabirc of the thousand voices from the Anthropocene.
