Following the trail from the intelligible to the sensible, this article intends to demonstrate that the passional enunciation reorganizes the speech committed only with the factual and the objectivity effect produced in the text. From the sensible dimension that the assumption of the passions inscribes on the enunciative path, it is possible to unveil the meaning effects that this strategy of composition contributes to the relation between enunciator and enunciatee, and to the effects of persuasion as well. Thereupon, we choose as an object the black dolls handcrafted in Conceição das Crioulas, a quilombola community located in the wilderness of Pernambuco; more precisely a fragment of a verbal text in the explanatory folder that comes with them, whose reading will follow the assumptions of Greimasian semiotics’ theoretical framework.
