Since its first presentation by Tatit in the early 90's, the semiotic theory of songs came across with the difficulty to build up the proper theoretical place reserved for the roles of composer, arranger and performer. In the present paper we propose that these roles cannot be assigned directly through the analysis of musical pieces, but are strictly connected to the music production discourse. Keywords: Semiotics. Music. Song. Discourse.Downloads
