This article discusses issues related to the functioning of language in individuals with pathology of language, relating the theoretical reference derived from the Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalytic school to that of linguistics of Émile Benveniste. The subject of language in pathology is studied based on the construction of theoretical-methodological forms of analysis of the language that allow us to speak about the split subject and the alteration of language.
