The fact that something has already been said before, elsewhere and independently, determining the primacy of interdiscourse over discourse and of the other over the self, is a postulate established within the language studies, mainly from the perspective of Discourse Analysis. I assume this principle and propose to examine what it may explain regarding the social beliefs that support a 24-second fragment of the film Kaspar Hauser, anchoring the turns of speech that happen in it. Based on the analysis carried out, I also seek to precise the effect of meaning of mother in the movie and therewith to understand her representation in the film.Downloads
