This article is a semiotic analyse of a Sílvio Romero text, than builds a negative image of the German immigrants in Brazil. The same text also criticizes the tolerance of the Brazilian government about these immigrants, that can cause the foundation of a German state in the south of Brazil. Keywords: German Immigration.
