Broadcasting influence in the Brazilian democratic system

Abstract

Some studies about government systems have underlined the role of ways of mass communication in modern societies that are governed by democracy or tend to conduct their political system to this direction. In general, these works point that these ways predispose to establish a link between the centres of political decisions and the citizen. On the one hand in a sort of accounts of government acts. On the other hand making the role of spokesman of organized groups that demand necessities not realized by their representatives. With the support of researches by Robert Dahl about polyarchy and Catalina Smulovitz about accountability this work discusses the contribution of broadcasting and electronic system of mass communication to establish brazilian democracy.
