Abstract

Author mentioned in quite different fields of studies related to Social Sciences, Câmara Cascudo was best known, however, through his books devoted to folklore. Seeking to evidence not well known facets of his biography - which includes an intensive dialogue with Modernism – and also seeking to evidence his vast intellectual output - that transcends the study of folklore and is related to Literature and Anthropology - this article shows other elements in his work that help to understand him also as an authorof Social Sciences, particularly of Anthropology.
