Abstract

The Food Acquisition Program (PAA) conciliate the purchase of family agriculture products with food security actions, distributing food to the population in social vulnerability, aiming to promote access to food and encourage family farming. It has two beneficiary audiences, suppliers and consumers of food, being that, for the beneficiaries’ consumers to have access to the PAA should seek the Receiving Units of the program, which intermediation between supply and demand and have the role of democratizing the program. The analysis of the literature shows that there are many papers that analyze the PAA by the bias of family farming; however, few analyze their demand, being that, there are no papers that approach the issue of Receiving Units. In this way, the objective of the study is to verify the use of the PAA by the counties and the role played by the Receiving Units. Work is under way.
