Perception about aspects ethic in the public service: a descriptive study from the perspective of the public servers in Lavras city - Minas Gerais

Abstract

The ethic discussion in organization is no longer a fad meet the exigencies of society that require an attitude which preserve the welfare of citizen. In a public organization, when the society expects that the services provided are efficients and the attendant act in accordance with a public interest. In this point of view, examining in this context of Public Administration Municipal of Lavras, some questions became like: ethic code, the elements inherent in personal ethics and other and work ethic are perceived about public attendant in Lavras City? How these attendants see the influence about duties ethics while they are working in their daily activities? Searching answers for these questions and other questions that arise from there, with the objective to study an analysis of perception about moral and ethic duties, which guide the behavior of public attendant of Lavras City in state of Minas Gerais. The results of this search appoint that attendant have an interest to learn about ethic in a public service; they presenting appropriated conducts, although, tend to notice that theirs coworkers could be more ethics, and their behaviors sometimes are appropriate concerning moral and ethic, and sometimes seems there’s a conflict when involves personal interest and a public interest.
