The purpose of this paper is to analyze the poetic construction of the book Pathé-Baby (1926) by Antonio de Alcântara Machado. The focus is on the innovative point of view about Europe and its cities, making explicit the approach of the literary text with the silent movie produced at the beginning of the 1920’s, especially those characterized as the City Symphony genre.Downloads
