The LP "Araçá Azul" composed by Caetano Veloso in 1973 was considered to be an important historical event. It represents a landmark in the production of "experimental songs". We can observe in the different sound tracks the intense utilization of non-conventional arrangement techniques, such as sound editing in the recording studio, combinations and superimpositions. Much more than providing background for the linguistic and melodic text, the arrangement is primarily responsible for the organization of the information. The analysis of "Viola meu bem", the first track of the album, is the start for the comprehension of the arrangement as a fundamental strategy in the construction of the meaning of experimental songs. Keywords: Linguistic and Melodic Text. Arrangement. Song. Construction of the Meaning.Downloads
