Abstract

The text by Perry Anderson, originally published in the New Left Review, analyses the Bush political administration and show how it changed the US global strategy. Anderson retraces the history of the US hegemony since the Second World War, emphasizing their most recent disturbing incident, the September 11th. The Marxist historian finally points out the relations between the European Union and the US in the international contemporary setting.
