Abstract

In this article I make a comparative analysis of two of the most prominent thinkers that belonged to the developmental thinking in the 50’s : Helio Jaguaribe e Nelson Werneck Sodré. Their writings were published ISEB, an institution which elaborated the nationalistic ideology known as the fundamental support for the surpassing of underdevelopment. It is not our goal to examine the thought underlying ISEB . I think that the choice of these two important authors – Jaguaribe and Werneck – allows us to revise some of the interpretations of the modern propositions of ISEB and yet the diversity of parameters which direct their/its notion of duality and Brazilian revolution.
