Abstract

Two interviews were made with Denise Martins(1) for our Master’s dissertation, “Among dicks, tits and big hair: subjectivity and identity construction of transvestites from Jardim Itatinga(2), presented at the GEISH – Interdisciplinary Group of Human Sexuality Studies of the Faculty of Education of UNICAMP. This study focused on the subjects that are considered different and, therefore, are likely to have an inferior condition of citizenship because they are effectively out of the bounds conceived by the social rules that structure sex and the heterosexual desire as the norm for all human beings. Thus, we articulate the theoretical field of social sciences with human sexuality regulated by sexual orientations, behaviors, identities, interests or sexual desires that are out of the heterocentric norm.
