Bourdieu without mystery or the applicability of sociological research tools

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss in a practical and operational way the appropriation of the sociological theory developed by Pierre Bourdieu. After checking the great interest that the theoretical framework of analysis of this author has raised, we can understand the need to reflect on the use of the search tools created by Bourdieu, aiming to provide more security in their application in various research areas of knowledge, highlighting that the use of this theory should not be absolute claims or framed in a single format. Drawing on examples collected in the intellectual production field, we pointed out some of the forms from which concepts and notions can be used.
