Abstract

This study is based on the historical journey of pánu di téra as an element of material culture in Cape Verde. It analyzes the cultural production chain from the artisan to the trade circuit, where cultural heritage represents aesthetic intention and its value. It is understood that new paradigms have allowed open spaces in which to think about a different relationship between the creative economy and economic development, taking into account the possibility of dissemination as well as the preservation of natural and cultural heritage. It assumes that it is possible to seek economic sustainability in an environment such as Cape Verde, through the practical application of the concept of collaborative creativity, which encourages the creation of jobs in the creative industry and helps improve the employability of young people in the fashion industry.
